Grief, the process & emotions of working through loss, is a universal experience. While the root causes of grief vary widely, it’s a state of emotional devastation that is uniquely human and always rooted in trauma. In this Twelve week course led by Linde Carter, RN students will receive an in-depth education on grief in all its forms. The class will discuss the various ways grief manifests in individuals, coping skills, support tools and best practices for helping individuals manage and work through their complex feelings as they process and come to accept their loss and the changes to their life as a result.
Students will be expected to participate in class lectures, discussions, (open book) quizzes, case study and a final exam to receive their certification.
